Responsibilities
- Teach Cambridge IGCSE Accounting and Business Studies in accordance with Cambridge International standards.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, schemes of work and learner-centred instructional materials.
- Assess learners through assignments, projects, practical activities and examinations.
- Analyse learner performance and implement intervention strategies where necessary.
- Maintain accurate academic records, attendance registers and assessment documentation.
- Prepare learners effectively for Cambridge checkpoint tests, mock examinations and final examinations.
- Integrate digital learning platforms and educational technology into classroom instruction.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events and professional development programmes.
- Communicate learner progress professionally with parents and guardians.
- Uphold the school's Christian values, policies and professional code of conduct.
Must Have
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Studies, Commerce or Education.
- Teaching qualification (PGDE, Diploma in Education or equivalent where applicable).
- Ability to teach Cambridge IGCSE Accounting.
- Ability to teach Cambridge IGCSE Business Studies.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Good ICT literacy with Microsoft Office and online learning platforms.
- Passion for learner success and continuous professional development.
Nice to have
- Experience teaching Cambridge AS & A Level subjects.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems or Online Reporting
- Experience using interactive classroom technologies.
- Knowledge of Cambridge assessment objectives and marking standards.
- Ability to coach entrepreneurship or business clubs.
- Experience preparing learners for international examinations with excellent pass rates.
- Additional teaching subjects will be an added advantage.
